An Opportunity for Grace

In 2003 a Catholic wife and mother of six children, “Anne”, began receiving inner locutions from Jesus regarding a renewal of faith in the world. Under direction from Jesus, Anne recorded these locutions. With the permission of Anne’s bishop, Bishop Leo O’Reilly of Kilmore Diocese, Ireland, the works have been printed and disseminated through the following activities:

·        Direction for Our Times (DFOT), an organization formed to support the work, has  published 8 small books entitled The Volumes, three full-length books, 20  single-topic booklets, and 8 newsletters.  DFOT also has this website,  www.directionforourtimes.com which includes a message for the world from Jesus on the 1st of each month.

·        Eucharistic Days of Renewal in the US, Europe, and the Philippines consisting of Mass, talks by Anne, and a Eucharistic Holy Hour.

·        The translation of Anne’s writings into many other languages and their distribution around the world.

·        The involvement of FOCUS Television Network, owned and operated by Archbishop Phillip
Hannan of New Orleans, La (retired).  FOCUS has taped and aired approximately 12
interviews with Anne and also distributed DVDs of Eucharistic Days of Renewal in both the
US and Ireland.

Jesus also told Anne that He wanted to begin a lay apostolate which would be called the Lay Apostolate of Jesus Christ the Returning King.  He specified five simple guidelines and promised those who pursued personal sanctity in this apostolate that:

“…You may assure each lay apostle that just as they concern themselves with My interest, I will concern Myself with theirs.  They will be placed in My Sacred Heart and I will defend and protect them.  I will pursue complete conversion of each of their loved ones…”

In 2005, Bishop O’Reilly gave permission for the formation of the Lay Apostolate of Jesus Christ the Returning King.

The next step in this world-wide mission is to establish a unique place of prayer and Adoration for this apostolate.  Specifically, the Lord has revealed He will give pilgrims who come to this site seeking truth, the special grace of clarity in relation to God’s plan for their life and God’s view of the condition of their soul.  We could say that God has promised an outpouring of truth to those who come seeking Him.

We understand that this place is Holy Trinity Abbey in Kilnacrott, Ireland.

The importance of this outpouring of truth is described in The Mist of Mercy, in which Anne describes a principle element of purgatory as “a time and place where each soul sees and accepts his life in truth with the Creator”.  Pain in purgatory comes from understanding and accepting the times in each life when a soul rejected God’s plan in favor of a selfish or sinful choice or decision. As each soul comes to understand and accept his mistakes, he draws closer and closer to God.  When perfectly at peace in the truth, the soul is ready and enters the Heavenly Kingdom for eternity.  God wills that this process be completed during each person’s time on earth, of course, but allows purgatory for situations when this process has not been completed by the time of the person’s death.

On January 24, 2008, Direction for Our Times signed a contract to purchase Holy Trinity Abbey. The price for the buildings and land, totaling approximately 44 acres, is 2,500,000 Euro. Closing is scheduled for December 8, 2008, at which time the purchase price will need to be paid. Once we have closed on the property, we plan to refurbish the buildings as needed and rename it Holy Trinity Centre for Prayer.

All activities at the Centre will be developed around prayer and Adoration.  Open to the public, Holy Mass, Confession, and Eucharistic Adoration will be available.  Large events such as Eucharistic Days of Renewal will be held on a scheduled basis. Additionally, the Focus Television Network will tape from this location.

Administrative mission work will be established at the Centre as time and circumstances dictate.

This project will be overseen by the Board of Directors of DFOT Ireland, which currently is comprised of four priests from the Kilmore Diocese, two of whom are Anne’s spiritual directors.

Please prayerfully consider whether or not you are called to help us in this matter.
